As for iOS 14.3, the beta version of this system appeared about a month ago and yesterday evening we saw the public release. Together with iOS Of course, the same version was also released in 14.3 iPadOS a tvOS, among other things, we also got to see macOS 11.1 Big Sur and watchOS 7.2. If you have already downloaded the new update iOS 14.3 has been installed on your Apple phones, so you might be wondering what all it comes with – at first glance, there's not much to see. So let's get straight to the point.

support AirPods Max

Last week we saw the introduction of brand new Apple headphones called AirPods Max. These headphones are intended primarily for true audiophiles who ideally need the best possible sound. With a price tag of up to 17 thousand crowns, however, it is not expected that there will be any boom, and that AirPods Max were as popular as the classic versions of Apple's wireless headphones. In a way, you could say that Apple He had to iOS 14.3 to issue just because AirPods Max – it was necessary for the system to be able to fully work with these headphones and to support them. If you have AirPods Max ordered, so you should know that to get the most out of these headphones you will iOS 14.3 is simply necessary. Specifically, this version of AirPods Max supports audio sharing, message notifications using Siri, adaptive equalizer, active noise cancellation or surround audio.

ProRAW format

Newest version iOS 14.3 will also please photographers who decided to buy one of the latest iPhones 12 this year. As a reminder, we saw the introduction of the currently most advanced Apple phones in October, alongside HomePodu mini. Specifically Apple introduced iPhone 12 mini, 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max – all of these machines offer, for example, the A14 Bionic processor, OLED displays, a brand new design, and a redesigned camera system, which is of course even better in the Pro models. At the presentation Apple promised that soon the system for iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max will add a feature that will allow users to shoot in ProRAW format. And it is in iOS We finally got to 14.3. You can activate the ProRAW format in Settings -> Camera -> Formats.

Mirrored photos from the front camera on older iPhonech

With the arrival iOS 14, users have received a new feature in the camera settings that allows you to automaticallychat flip photos from the front camera. Some users may not necessarily like the fact that the photo is flipped after taking it - in reality, of course, this is correct, but in any case, it is about the resulting feeling of the photo, which may not be entirely ideal. Originally, you could only activate this feature on iPhones from 2018 and later, i.e. iPhone XS/XR included. Coming soon iOS However, this changes in 14.3 and you can use (de)activation of mirroring on all iPhonech 6s (or SE first generation) and newer. You can (de)activate mirroring in Settings -> Camera.

Improved TV app

It's been over a year now, huh? Apple launched his own streaming service Apple TV+. You can access all the titles available in this service using the TV app, where you can also find all the other film and series titles. If you wanted to watch something with your significant other one evening, you probably couldn't find much. The TV app was relatively cluttered, which has changed at least in some ways. Finally, we can see a list of all the titles available in the subscription Apple TV+, in addition, the search has finally been improved, where you can search for example within certain genres, or you can notchat view suggestions.

Ecosia search engine

All Apple devices have Google search enabled by default. So, for example, if you have Google on your iPhone, iPad or MacWhen you search for something, all results will be displayed directly from Google – unless you specify otherwise. You have been able to change your default search engine for a long time anyway. In addition to Google, you can choose Bing, Yahoo or DuckDuckGo, so even users who can't stand Google will definitely choose one. With the arrival of iOS In any case, the list of all supported search engines has been expanded with the one called Ecosia. As the name suggests, this search engine tries to be ecological - the proceeds from searches go to planting trees in areas where it is needed. As for usability, there is of course still room for improvement in the Czech Republic. If you want to set Ecosia, or any other search engine, as your default, go to Settings -> Safari -> Search engine.
