Setting a profile photo in Contacts
To set an image as a contact's profile photo, open the photo in native Photos, right-click on it, and select Copy the main theme. Then launch the application Contacts, select the desired contact and simply drag the image to the profile picture location.
Copying and pasting in Messages and Mail
At yours MacYou can also quickly copy and paste images into your messages or emails. Open the photo in native Photos, right-click it, and select Copy the main theme. Then go to Messages or Mail and use the keyboard shortcut Cmd + V to insert the image into your message.
Background removal in Keynote or Pages
Background removal support is offered at Macalso native applications Pages a Keynote. In a native application Keynote you can remove the background of an image on a slide. Just select the tab Picture at the top of the right panel and click on the option Remove backgroundSimilarly, in native Pages remove the background from an image using the Remove Background feature on the Image tab.
Copy an object in the Finder
You don't necessarily need to run native Photos even if you need to copy an object displayed in Finder. Just find the image you want in the Finder, press the spacebar for a quick preview, then right-click and select Copy Main Theme. You can then insert the image where you need it.
