Profile photo settings in Contacts
To set an image as a contact's profile photo, open the photo in native Photos, right-click on it, and select Copy the main theme. Then launch the application Contacts, select the desired contact and simply drag the image to the profile picture location.
Copying and pasting in Messages and Mail
You can also quickly copy and paste images into your messages or emails on your Mac. Open the relevant photo in native Photos, right-click on it, and select an option Copy the main theme. Then go to Messages or Mail and use the keyboard shortcut Cmd + V to insert the image into your message.
Remove background in Keynote or Pages
Background removal support is also available in the native Pages and Keynote apps on the Mac. In the native Keynote app, you can remove the background of an image on a slide. Just select a card Picture at the top of the right panel and click on the option Remove background. Similarly, in native Pages, you can remove the background from an image using the Remove Background feature on the Image tab.
Copy an object in the Finder
You don't necessarily need to run native Photos even if you need to copy an object displayed in Finder. Just find the image you want in the Finder, press the spacebar for a quick preview, then right-click and select Copy Main Theme. You can then insert the image where you need it.
Additional options for editing and working with images
After removing the background or copying, you can make further adjustments and resize the images according to your needs, which is very useful when creating presentations, documents or perhaps for communication.
