The Photos app automatically creates Memories—short videos and slideshows made from your photos and clips. It’s easy to remember a trip, a celebration, or an entire season. You can customize each Memory by choosing different frames, changing the style, transitions, music, and title. The result is an emotional video that captures your best moments without having to manually edit anything.
Lift the main subject from the photo
One of the most useful innovations of recent years is the ability to separate the subject from the background. Right-click on the selected image and select Copy Subject - the application automatically recognizes the main object (for example, a person or an animal) and you can paste it into another document or message. Great for creating collages, presentations or creative projects without the need for complex editing in graphics programs.

Edit the location and time the picture was taken
Each photo carries with it so-called metadata – informationmacabout the time, place of acquisition or the device used. You can find this information on Macu easily change. Just open the image, click on the ⓘ icon and in the window that appears, double-click on the field with the place or time of capture. You will appreciate this function, for example, when editing photos downloaded from other devices or when correcting an incorrect recording GPS.
Create projects using extensions
Photos does more than just browse. With the Project extension, you can create photo books, postcards, calendars, or slideshows right from the app. Right-click an album, select Create, and then select App Store. A menu of extensions opens, adding additional creative tools—from photo printing to professional photo book designs.

Organize your photos by people
Photos can automatically recognize people and sort images by faces. Open the People section in the left panel to see all the recognized faces. If the system ever makes a mistake, you can easily fix it by clicking Review and merging or editing profiles as needed. This will keep all the photos of a specific person in one place, without the hassle of searching.
