Epson EB-L795SE belongs to the category of projectors where it is not a question of whether it will be enough, but rather where it makes sense to use it. It is a semi-professional laser projector designed for demanding installations, companies, schools, exhibition spaces and places where the image should work reliably every day without compromise. And that is exactly how it behaves in practice. I had the opportunity to test it at home and I must say that even though I am not a fan of projectors, this one won me over with its projection quality.

Let's start from the beginning. The package contains the projector itself, a power cord, documentation and a remote control including batteries. Epson does not go the route of including extra cables here, which is common for this class of device, since it is assumed that the final installation will still require a specific type of connection depending on the environment. The packaging and protection of the projector itself correspond to the premium category. Everything is firmly installed, the projector feels robust even when unpacked and it is clear that this is not a device that should change location often.

The projector itself looks very good. The design is sober, modern and clearly professional. Nothing is unnecessarily loud, nothing looks cheap and the whole thing is consistent with a device that costs tens of thousands of crowns. The projector will not get lost in a modern meeting room, gallery or showroom.
The contrast is even greater with the remote control. It looks as if it accidentally arrived at the projector from a completely different era. Plastic, visually outdated, with a button layout reminiscent of technology from the 90s. It works without any problems, but its design absolutely does not match the rest of the device. For a premium projector of this class, it is an unnecessary and surprising mistake that spoils an otherwise very good impression.

One of the main things you'll love about the EB-L795SE is its image performance in real-world conditions. Not in an ideally darkened room, but where you normally work, with lights on, daylight and people moving around the space. The 7,000-lumen laser source ensures that the image remains bright, legible and contrasting even where weaker projectors would fail. Text is sharp, presentations don't look washed out and video still has sufficient depth. 3LCD technology has a positive effect on colours that are natural and stable. 4K Enhancement then ensures finer detail drawing, it's not native 4K, which is common in this segment and no manufacturer here offers native 4K, but it's always a digital image enhancement. And honestly, compared to classic Full HD, it's very noticeable in practice, especially with fine text, graphics and photos. The contrast also works very well, helping to separate the light and dark parts of the image without unnecessarily blending details. The short throw ratio of 0,79–1,36 : 1 proves to be one of the biggest advantages of this model. The projector can create a large image even from a relatively short distance, which significantly simplifies installation and eliminates shadows during presentations. In combination with manual lens shift (vertically and horizontally) and 1,7x optical zoom, the projector can be fine-tuned without the need for complex structural modifications. This is exactly the type of flexibility that real installations outside ideal laboratory conditions will appreciate.

Laser technology is a major benefit here. The projector starts up quickly, the image is consistent, and there is no need to worry about the lamp heating up or the gradual decrease in brightness over time. The EB-L795SE feels like a device that you fix once and then just do it. Another big plus is the support for modern features such as Apple AirPlay 2, Miracast or wireless projection. In an environment where they are commonly used MacBooky, iPhones or iPads, this significantly simplifies work and eliminates the need for adapters and cables. The noise level is acceptable in normal operation and practically non-distracting in power saving mode, which is especially important in smaller rooms or during longer presentations.

The Epson EB-L795SE offers a laser light source with a lifespan of up to 20,000 hours in normal mode and up to 30,000 hours in Eco mode, Full HD resolution with 4K Enhancement, 3LCD technology, 7,000 lumens of light output, a contrast ratio of up to 5,000,000:1, a projection size of up to 400 inches, a short projection distance, lens shift, edge blending, split-screen, image geometry correction, HDMI, HDBaseT, wireless connection, Apple AirPlay 2 and a built-in 10W speaker. All this in a body designed for long-term operation without the need for frequent maintenance.

The EB-L795SE feels like a projector that is designed to last for years. The laser source, miniLow maintenance and stable performance make it an ideal choice for companies, schools, galleries and exhibition spaces, where technology is not the center of attention, but a reliable tool. It is in this context that the higher price makes sense, it is not a consumer electronics, but a long-term investment.

The Epson EB-L795SE is a very successful premium projector, which in practice confirms that laser technology is the right way to go today. It offers high brightness, high-quality images, quiet operation, modern features and flexible installation. In everyday use, it works exactly as expected from a device in this category. If you are looking for a projector for a company, school or have a quality audiovisual installation at home and want to take your home cinema to the next level, then the Epson EB-L785SE is definitely an interesting option. I will continue to be a fan of TVs, but here we are already starting to get really dangerously close to top-end TVs in terms of image quality. In addition - and this is important to add - the main benefit of projectors is still the image size, which is the main advantage for these products.
