In just three weeks, we will know the shape and capabilities of the new iPhone 16. We know a lot about what news they will bring, and of course there is a lot that we would like them to bring. And then there are surveys that have revealed interesting and perhaps incomprehensible things.
The USA is a specific country, so surveys there cannot be applied to the whole world. But it's true that it's Apple's home market, so it clearly has more influence on customers here than, for example, here. The fact that 16% of respondents plan to buy the new iPhone 61,9 is certainly not as surprising as why.
The survey was conducted by the company SellCell and she interviewed 2 people in it, where half were men, the other half were women. 000% of respondents said that the main reason for buying new products is "competitive price". However, better thermal performance came in second place, which 30,9% of survey participants want after the news.
Shortly after the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max were released last September, some customers started experiencing an issue with their devices overheating. Apple finally mitigated it with the future iOS 17 update. Now because of this, the iPhone 16 models are also expected to feature a new thermal design that will address potential overheating more.
Does it really heat that much?
It is indeed unusual for customers to want a major upgrade from a future device to fix some bug that plagued the previous generation. Plus, even if a device is overheating with iOS 18, we know a software fix is on the way. I've been using the iPhone 15 Pro Max for almost a year and it's heating up? No more than other devices that I had the opportunity to test, for example in the case of Samsung ones.
So in what situations does the iPhone heat up the most? This is logical when charging, especially the fast one. But it does not deviate from the standard in any way. This also applies to graphically demanding games, photography or navigating in hot summer temperatures. When the iPhone 13 Pro Max refused to serve me halfway through the journey because it needed to cool down before using it again, this did not happen to me with the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year. And it was also pretty hot here. Personally, I consider it to be a device that works with temperature even better than previous models, which is why I am quite surprised by this request.
Artificial Intelligence
Incidentally, the survey also revealed considerable interest in the features Apple Intelligence. A remarkable 82,1% of respondents don't mind waiting at least a month for Apple's AI to look into their device. Probably a different country, different manners. Of course, it is appropriate to add that he will travel in the USA Apple Intelligence without any limitation and it can be a really desired matter.
It's also worth adding that for those who said they wouldn't buy an iPhone 16, 34,2% of survey participants cited cost as a reason, which isn't surprising. 34,1% then keep their existing phone.
