There are indeed many navigation applications and those with map data, but Seznam is the one that thinks primarily of us, the inhabitants of the Czech Republic, and many consider its Mapy.cz to be the best data available here.

5. 12. 2024 – Subscription
The Mapy.cz Premium subscription has been launched in the mobile application with the ability to add your own notes to saved locations and also personal settings for walking, running or cycling speed for more accurate planning and navigation. Other features will be added. The price for supporting the application is 249 Kč annually.

Mapy.cz navigation has expanded to Slovakia. Now you can navigate in this country according to current traffic conditions to avoid all traffic jams.

In September, we were hit by floods, which is why Mapy.cz launched a special flood map on the website and in the app. It also highlighted current road closures for better planning of safe routes. Since July last year, the Mapy.cz navigation system has not only warned us about speeding, but also about places where speed cameras measure speed.

At the beginning of summer, the visualization of rocks, shadows, and contour lines was also improved in the tourist map of neighboring Central European countries. Until then, it was only available in the Czech Republic.

You will find new information in the navigation.mace, when you just click on the navigation arrow during your journey. You can then choose whether you want to see your current location, altitude or how long it will be before you reach the next waypoint.

You can now view photos from even the most remote corners of the world. This is thanks to the use of the Wikimedia database, so that some places on Maps do not have an empty gallery.
