my observations from the beta
Photostream is practically only used for viewing photos, because when a photo taken by an iP4 is saved to the iP4 + FS memory, there is no point in saving it to images on the iPad, as there would be duplications (or vice versa, while the iPad cannot yet save anything from the photostream).
Likewise, you cannot delete any photos from the Pictures folder on the iPad, either directly in it or via Mac Image Catpure.
The only solution is to connect it to a PC, where the photo will appear on the iPad as mass storage and delete it.
Na iPhone everything is without problems.
Image previews in photostream sometimes do not correspond to reality.
All my apps work except AirVideo and iCab (the one with the new Safari doesn't make sense anyway).

For step 3. Shift(pc),option(Mac) + restore, in explorer/finder select ios5 for your specific iDevice that you downloaded and then select your latest backup (you will already have the defaults, it's better not to change them).
