One can be placed in each half of the device, allowing manufacturers to make better use of limited internal space and distribute the weight more evenly. Their sum would reach 4,883 mAh, which would be a fairly solid value considering the construction complexity of a foldable phone. However, the capacity itself does not reveal much about the real endurance. Cheaper repairs are not yet certain
The formulations in the system also allow for the possibility of servicing individual batteries separately. If only one cell were to wear out significantly, theoretically it would not be necessary to replace the entire battery assembly. Such a solution could reduce the cost of repair and limit unnecessary replacement of still functional parts.
However, this possibility needs to be taken with a grain of salt. The system message proves above all that iOS can distinguish the status of both batteries. It does not reveal whether Apple will indeed offer them as separate service parts. In addition, for a very thin foldable device, replacement can be significantly more complex in terms of construction than for a regular iPhone.
The presence of ready-made texts in iOS 27 suggests that work on the dual-battery iPhone is quite advanced. Of course, the code is not a definitive confirmation of the name, specifications, or release date.
