Adam Kos Apple introduced us to a new line of its iPhones, which is clearly the most advanced and best-equipped model iPhone 17 Pro Max, due to its large display, large battery and also a higher price. How does it compare directly to the previous generation?

iPhone 17 Pro Max has grown not only in capabilities but also in size and weight, which may not be good news. Already iPhone 16 Pro Max due to the larger display, it has become very bloated and is on the verge of being "comfortable" to use. Ideal in the form of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is simply gone. The new model is 0,4 mm taller and wider, 0,5 mm thicker and 4 g heavier. Resistance remains at the IP68 specification and the back glass is also made of Ceramic Shield 2. The titanium frame has been replaced by a unibody aluminum.

From the A18 Pro chip in the iPhone 16 Pro Max Here we have the A19 Pro chip in the iPhone 17 Pro Max. It still has a 6-core CPU with 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores and a 16-core Neural Engine, which includes hardware-accelerated ray tracing, but what's new is a 6-core GPU with Neural Accelerators. We did not get 8K videos, but the new product can record dual (up to 4K video in Dolby Vision at 30 fps), ProRes RAW and brings support for Genlock.

Battery
A larger battery fits into a larger body, a more efficient chip works better with it, and an evaporation chamber provides better cooling.
