Messages app in iOS offers a very practical solution: the ability to pin selected chaty to the top of the list. This is not a complicated function, but in practice it will significantly simplify communication.
Why pinning makes sense
Pinned conversations appear at the top as round bubbles with a contact photo or group icon. They stay there no matter how many new messages you get throughout the day. Personally, I keep three to four pinned. chaty – family, one work group and a conversation that I am currently intensively dealing with. Thanks to this, I don’t have to scroll or think about where the given chat finished. I open Messages and the most important communication is right at hand.
It also comes in handy when you're waiting for an important answer. Pinned chat You always have it in sight and there is no risk of overlooking it.
How to pin a conversation
The procedure only takes a few seconds:
- Open the Messages app.
- In the conversation list, find chat, which you want to pin.
- Long-press on it until a menu appears.
- Select Pin.
The conversation will immediately move to the top of the screen. If you want to unpin it later, just long-press again and select the opposite option. It's a small thing, but it's definitely one of those features you don't want to turn back after a few days of use.
