If we didn't get a single one last year, this year Apple has really taken off in its tablet portfolio. It came with its complete rejuvenation, that is, except for one single model. So what to expect from the entry-level 11th generation iPad?

In the spring, it was iPad Pros in which Apple first introduced the M4 chip, which has only now been introduced to computers MacBut along with them came new iPads. Air with the M2 chip, when here Apple in this line of tablets, it also introduced a model with a larger 13" display. But even before the new computers, the iPad was also introduced mini 6th generation with the A17 Pro chip. And to some extent, this smallest tablet from the company shows what we could actually expect from the basic 11th generation iPad.

The 10th generation iPad serves as an entry-level device into the tablet world. Applu. But the company released it in the fall of 2022, and with the now 4-year-old A14 Bionic chip. It would definitely like to rejuvenate it, which will probably happen in the spring of next year. But it is true that the company has at least made it cheaper, which doesn't happen very often. You can currently buy it in Apple Online Store buy from 9 Kč.

The cheapest device with Apple Intelligence?

We know that it's not that bad for us, because who knows how it will be next year, when they arrive in the EU sometime in April Apple Intelligence. It is certainly a big deal for society, as well as for everyone who will be able to use AI Applu fully. If we talk about the mobile platform (iOS, iPadOS), so the position of the cheapest device currently belongs to the iPad mini (A17 Pro), which starts at a price of 15 Kč (from the new portfolio Macit is Mac mini, which starts at 17 Kč).

However, this should change with the launch of the 11th generation iPad, as it is very likely that it will run on the same chip, i.e. the A17 Pro, and it is quite possible that the upcoming one will also get it. iPhone SE 4th generation. However, it should be a few thousand more expensive, so the iPad 11 will not only be the cheapest iPad, but also the cheapest new product that will provide Apple IntelligenceTherefore, it is also logical that it will get 8 GB of RAM.

Cameras

There's not much to expect here, because there's practically no pressure to improve. The front camera is already 12MPx, and it's also on the wider side of the tablet and also offers a function like centering the shot. This is now available on the iiMac and MacBooky Pro. For the tablet's price category, it is quite sufficient, as is the rear one, which is 12MPx and can handle 4K video.

Connectivity

The iPad 11 will likely get newer connectivity standards like Wi-Fi 6E (Wi-Fi 7 doesn't even have the new mini) and Bluetooth 5.3. This would be a clear step forward compared to the current Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. We will probably also see support for the new Apple Pencil Pro, although it is true that Apple would have to give the iPad a coil for wireless charging, which might make the device unnecessarily expensive.

When will we wait?

It should be next year and it would make sense for it to be in the spring, probably alongside the 4th generation iPhone SE. It doesn't have to be in the form of some Keynote, but rather through press releases or whatever Apple now done with new computers Mac. It's just a basic port after allfolio with smaller intergenerational additions. The big unknown is the price. It can be assumed that the 10th generation iPad will remain on offer for the current 9 Kč, and therefore the new product could be a little more expensive. As a middle ground between the 10th generation and the new iPad mini the amount would appear to be somewhere around 13 thousand Kč.
