The iPad 11 will likely get newer connectivity standards like Wi-Fi 6E (Wi-Fi 7 doesn't even have the new mini) and Bluetooth 5.3. This would be a clear step forward compared to the current Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. We will probably also see support for the new Apple Pencil Pro, although it is true that Apple would have to give the iPad a coil for wireless charging, which might make the device unnecessarily expensive.

When will we wait?
It should be next year and it would make sense for it to be in the spring, probably alongside the 4th generation iPhone SE. It doesn't have to be in the form of some Keynote, but rather through press releases or whatever Apple now done with new computers Mac.
