Modern technology is a good servant but a bad master. We often spend more time with them than we should or even want to. But there are many solutions to try to do something about it, and when to change it but with the arrival of the new year? Screen time can really help you.

Screen Time is a feature that displays information about your device usage, including what apps and websites you're on most often. It also allows you to set limits and various restrictions, which is especially useful for parents.

How to activate Screen Time

Since this is one of the great functions of the iOS system, you will find its own tab in Settings, which has been present for several years. But if you missed it until now, maybe now you will appreciate the magic of the function itself.

  • Go to Settings.
  • Click on Screen time.
  • If you don't have the feature activated, select an option Turn on.
  • Then confirm the activation with the offer Continue.
  • Determine if it is your device or if it is your child's device.

You can find here how many times you picked up your phone in a certain period of time and which app you launched first after that. With the function turned on, you can also be informed once a week about whether your screen time is increasing or decreasing.

But you can set many restrictions in the main view. It's about Quiet time, limits for applications, what will always be allowed and you'll even find Distance from the screen here, which saves not only your eyes but also, of course, your children's, if you set Screen Time for them. In order to reduce unhealthy eye strain and reduce the risk of myopia in children, the function will remind you to hold the iPhone or iPad with Face ID at the recommended distance. There is only an on/off option here.

How to set up Screen Time

We have covered this topic in detail in individual instructional articles. So below you will find links to them that will redirect you to them exactly according to what you want to set up in Screen Time.
